Technology leader pi4 introduces the 4th Generation of electroluminescence inspection system. Fully automated and reliable failure detection on multi- and mono-crystalline cells are outstanding features. It is designed to be engaged before or after the lamination process in highly automated production lines.

With its short cycle time of only 19s/module including loading and unloading modules(EL Efficiency EL High Speed) it is applicable in every production line. As well as offline in the laboratory, the EL Efficiency is a highly precise El inspection system.

With enhanced functionality like the AEVAL-Software (Advanced EVALuation), even the most complex quality guidelines can be implemented. The "Power Loss Estimation" (PLE) software feature is a reliable forecast, about the maximum power loss that may be caused in future filed operation by defects detected in cells today.

The pi4 "Repair Station Manager" (RSM) supports the operator effectively to replace defective cells and strings.

Flasherintegration

For integration in existing and new flasher systems. For all flasher brands available, no matter if tower or tunnel constructions. We are using the same proven technology as in the stand alone EL Efficiency systems: Special EL sensitive cameras moving on an axis for outstanding image quality and short cycle times. The IV measurement will not be influenced. Also the software including the advanced features "AEVAL" and "Power Loss Estimation" is available for EL Flasher Integration. If the panels have been tested already before lamination, our "Quality Manager" can automatically compare pre- and post lamination EL images of the same panel. New defects will be marked. This enables complete process control for the entire production line.

Panelvision 45s / 60s

Panelvision 60s / 45s is the low cost alternative to the EL Efficiency Electroluminescence module testers. Panelvision can be easily integrated into existing and new production lines before and after lamination. The simple handling, the clear EL-image quality, and the robust, low-maintenance machine concept make the system to have one of the leading position on the market of the low-cost systems.

EL module inspection Basic

Basic EL inspection systems are designed to be used in manually operated production lines or as off-line Systems. The inspection may take place before or after the lamination process. The high contrast El images are recorded automatically and controlled visually on screen by an operator.

Cell EL inspection by pi4

Inline Cell EL Inspection with shortest cycle times and reliable defect detection in multi- and monocrystalline cells. Available for many cell production lines. Pi4 Cell EL Inspection is integrated beside the flasher unit. Short cycle times below 100ms available. EL module inspection Thin-film

This system is designed to be integrated into a production line. Inspection can be carried out before or after lamination. High-resolution EL images are acquired automatically to be either visually inspected on the monitor or evaluated fully automatically by means of highly reliable algorithms.

EL string inspection

String testers by pi4 use extremely high camera resolutions. They detect and measure the smallest flaws in cells as well as errors and deviations in the positioning of bus bars. The device is perfect for integration into a production line. An easy-to-operate user interface allows for optimum adaptation to the customer-specific quality requirements. Tolerances of all error detection criteria can be set and optimised by the operator. The short evaluation time of the system provides for short cycle times in the production.
